The house was designed in close collaboration with the owner, who is an urban planner by profession. His requirements were clearly stated. In an intensive design exercise we were able to translate his requirements in a well balanced design.

This house was designed on an elevated grid (4200x4200mm) of beams. By elevating the house the beautiful view of the Caribbean ocean can be enjoyed from the main terrace. Inside and outside interchange with each other to create a playful whole in which the design grit is hardly recognized.
