Residential

A home is where the day begins and where you return at its end. It is the place where people feel at ease, feel at home, and develop a sense of belonging. More than any other building type, residential architecture is closely tied to daily routines, personal habits, and emotional connection. Our approach to housing design therefore starts with understanding how people live and how a place is experienced.

Every project begins with reading the site. We study the movement of the sun, prevailing winds, contour lines, existing routes, and the surrounding context to determine how a building should be positioned. At the same time, we closely observe everyday rituals—how people arrive, where they pause, and how spaces connect. These small moments define whether a house truly feels intuitive and supportive.

Climate – for example – plays a decisive role, particularly in the Caribbean, where natural ventilation, shading, and outdoor living are essential for comfort. By learning from traditional building practices and reinterpreting them, we design homes that respond intelligently to their environment. Our floor plans are shaped by both climate and culture. By designing homes that are longer and narrower, for example, we enable cross-ventilation and create a natural flow between living spaces, terraces, and outdoor areas.

Our experience ranges from private villas to entire neighborhoods, from high-end penthouses to social housing. Our ambition is always to create architecture that doesn’t show whether it is intended for the middle class or for social housing. When designing at the scale of neighborhoods—or even entirely new towns or villages—the focus extends far beyond individual homes. It becomes about shaping the daily life. This means designing streets, green spaces, and shared amenities as integral parts of the environment. As you can see with some of our projects we have designed a lot of green public spaces within the residential area.

We see each housing project as a privilege to being able to create somebody’s home. Our goal is always to create living environments that foster comfort, are fitting within the local culture and climate, and and a create a lasting sense of belonging.
