We are thrilled to announce that the documentary Kombiná has been officially selected for the 11th edition of the Curacao International Film Festival (CIFF)! The festival takes place from April 9 to 13 at the Movies Otrobanda.
This year, the festival focuses on ‘lost’ art, with the special program Lost & Found highlighting forgotten or rediscovered works. Additionally, Caribbean Focus, introduced last year, returns to showcase films from the region. Out of 26 submissions received, a curated selection will be screened during the festival, and Kombiná is among the chosen few.
Following its successful premieres in Curacao in December 2024, the selection for CIFF marks another milestone for Kombiná – as it was even mentioned as a highlight of the festival in local media.

During this vibrant festival, Otrobanda and Willemstad will become the heart of captivating films and documentaries. It will serve as a stage for artists with Caribbean roots, celebrating their stories and creative expressions.
The Curaçao International Film Festival provides a platform to showcase Kombiná to a broader audience and continue the conversation about Caribbean architecture.
